The lake is also home to the most beautiful cattails, hydrilla, lily pads, pondweed, water hyacinth and varieties of willows. 

Wildlife abounds in this area of Central Texas. It is common to see songbirds, small creatures of all kinds, wild hog, deer, turkey, quail, ducks, geese, various wild cats and even the occasional Texas Rattlesnake.
